This itinerary is made for those who like to run on the snow around St-Cergue.
From St-Cergue train station, take the direction of Basse-Ruche, then go up in the forest to "Les Fruitières de Nyon". From there, go to the Rochefort hut and join the winter track at "Haut Mont" to be taken in the direction of "La Givrine".
Shortly after the alpine chalet "La Genolière", a white and red trail goes to the right towards the Carroz-Jura hut. In winter, it is marked by yellow rubalise hanging from the trees. From the hut, this marking continues as far as the "Pré du Four" along a clear ridge with a beautiful view of the Noirmont on the right. Once at the "Pré au Four", a snowshoe trail leads to the winter track that leads to "la Givrine".
Shortly before the pass, another snowshoe trail runs along the railway line through the forest. Go up to "Le Rosset", then head towards "Les Chesaux".
Shortly before the reservoir and the hamlet of "Les Chesaux", a path climbs to the left and will take you to Basse-Ruche from behind, where you will have the opportunity to drink a good mulled wine.
