Standing in the city center, the Château de Nyon offers a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva. Its authentic vaulted cellar houses the Nyon wine cellar. Tasting professionals introduce their guests to the wines of the Nyon appellation, in the La Côte AOC vineyard.
With its 270 hectares, the Nyon appellation is the second largest in the canton of Vaud. About fifteen winegrowers produce a wide variety of white or red wines there. However, as in the rest of the canton of Vaud, it is the Chasselas white grape that dominates production, as well as the Gamay and Pinot Noir reds.
To discover them, amateurs meet at the Nyon wine cellar, open from Tuesday to Sunday, depending on the schedule. In the exceptional setting of the castle cellar, the vaulted stone walls create an authentic atmosphere conducive to tasting various wines and local specialties.
A small menu of local dishes and tapas is available for small appetites.
