It is in the heart of a magnificent wooded park that the Château de Bonmont opens the doors of its charming domain. Overlooking Lake Geneva and facing Mont Blanc, this magical place reveals itself as a secret refuge.
On the menu, delicious butter flutes as an aperitif, an exquisite perch fillet in exquisite aerial doughnut as an appetizer, an irresistible olive bread. The flame mackerel, with its caviar of aubergine, fennel, olives and pepper, makes a Mediterranean and holiday starter. Green asparagus surrounds an ideally poached egg: it's delicious. Then the yellow poultry with candied lemon pays tribute to the primer in half-mourning, but with fragrant bay leaves under the delicately crispy skin. The result is excellent. A notch below, the monkfish in a green pistou costume of romanesco and taggiasche olives nevertheless reminds us of the primers of Master Bovier. And as for desserts, we stay in a simple but effective register, with for example an exquisite salted butter caramel tartlet. Delicious sweet treats. Choice of wines without much coherence, but with some nice finds. Friendly service.
