The highly reputed Hammel estate has vineyards in the La Côte AOC, Lavaux AOC, Chablais AOC and Valais AOC designations. In vineyards covering more than 850 acres, Hammel vinifies 25 grape varieties that are offered for tasting sessions in the cellars of Rolle, a few minutes from the vineyards.
Founded in 1921, Hammel is among Switzerland’s largest wine producers. Its best-known estates in the canton of Vaud are Domaine de Crochet in Mont-sur-Rolle (La Côte AOC), Domaine des Caillattes in Tartegnin (La Côte AOC), Clos du Châtelard in Villeneuve (Chablais AOC), Domaine du Montet in Bex (Chablais AOC), Clos de la George and l’Ovaille in Yvorne (Chablais AOC). Some 25 grape varieties, mostly indigenous ones, are grown in these estates and in two others located in the Valais and in France. The vinification methods combine tradition and modernity in an environmentally friendly way.
Hammel - Terres de Vins holds the Vaud Oenotourisme label. It offers several packages that allow visitors to taste their wines, discover the cellar and even the estates. Offering a selection of wines to be tasted, the “walk-in” offer is ideal for customers who simply wish to drop in. For a fuller experience, gourmets can choose between pre-booked packages called “Visit&Taste”, “Discovery Tour” and “VIP Experience”.
