If you are staying in a hotel in the region, you can use “carte Explore” to travel free of charge on public transport provided by following companies: SBB, TPN, NSTCM and CarPostal.
The carte Explore gives you free travel by bus or train in all Mobilis public transport zones in the Nyon area. The area covered includes towns such as Nyon, Gland and Rolle, and it extends from Mies to Perroy on the lake shore and reaches as far as the French border at La Cure in the Jura Mountains, via St-Cergue and the Givrine pass. You can use Carte Explore to travel up to the Marchairuz Pass via St-George and you can travel as far east as the Signal de Bougy theme park.
Tourists can use SBB trains, Nyon public transport (TPN), the Nyon – St-Cergue red train (NSTCM) and post buses. Travellers must get on and off at a stop within the travel zone. They can travel in 2nd class in 18 Mobilis zones.
The card does not entitle the holder to free travel on the CGN boats that ply Lake Léman.
The card is personal, non-exchangeable and non-refundable. For your information, a day ticket in the area costs about CHF 55.00.
