Ski touring is a sport activity that allows you to ski through the mountains in winter. It allows lovers of wide open spaces to discover nature and admire the landscapes, skis on your feet! In ski touring, it is with the strength of your legs that you go up the slopes.
Close to nature, this activity allows you to evolve at your own pace in wide open spaces in order to reach a summit or a viewpoint by marked ski touring itineraries. You climb with the help of "skins" and then come down by skiing off-piste or on the slopes of a ski area.
Jura sur Léman offers 3 SKI TOURING ITINERARIES (TUFFES MASSIF)
BALANCIER : Time of course : 45 mn - Distance : 1 km - Difference in height : D+ 216 m - Max % of slope in ascent : 12%.
BALANCIER-TUFFES : Time of course : 1h - Distance : 2,5 km - Difference in height : D+ 216 m - Max. % of slope on the way up : 5
DAPPES-TUFFES : Running time : 45 mn - Distance : 1,8 km - Difference in height : D+ 179 m - Max % of slope on the way up : 6%.
The use of these routes is under your own responsibility at all times. For safety reasons, it is imperative not to go down at night.

The practice of ski touring imposes the strict respect of several safety instructions and respect for nature.
The ski touring itineraries are regulated, marked out but not secured, you use them under your own responsibility, know how to evaluate the risks.
Before going out, ask the competent services about the snow and weather conditions.
The descent is forbidden by the ascent route. On arrival, the descent is made on the open ski runs.
The descent on the ski slopes is closed and forbidden outside the operating hours of the ski lifts by municipal decree (ski lift opening hours: every day, 9am-4.45pm or 5pm depending on the period).
Outside of the opening hours, the slopes are not protected against dangers such as grooming machines equipped with a winch or a cutter (danger of death).
ENVIRONMENT
1 - Protected areas : French side : Several areas of the Jura massif are protected by a biotope decree. During the snowy season, skiing and hiking are only allowed on groomed trails.
On the Swiss side: sites for the protection of fauna are also regulated by the Federal Office for the Environment (quiet zone).
2 - Respect the environment: To preserve the environment and in particular the young shoots of trees
Avoid skiing in forest areas.

The ski touring offer is included in the valid Jura sur Léman pass. For those who do not have a pass, a specific price is being studied and will be required for the 2022/2023 season.
