Le Pétiole Sauvage welcomes you to a day of picking and cooking entitled: ‘From forest to your plate’.
Bear's garlic is one of the first wild plants to emerge in spring. Its unique flavour is attracting more and more connoisseurs, and is even becoming a fashion statement. It can be found in a wide range of preparations (crisps, pesto, cheese) sold in supermarkets and markets. But how well do you know this plant? Are you sure you can recognise it without confusion? Perhaps you've already heard of certain species that resemble it and are highly toxic? In this workshop, we'll take you on a journey to discover wild garlic, observe it and study it properly in the field so that you can recognise it and harvest it safely. After harvesting, we'll head for the kitchen, where we'll put our talents to good use to prepare an aperitif dinner in which wild garlic will be king.
