5th May 1995. Jacques Chirac has just been elected President of the Republic. From his campaign HQ, he steps up to the window to greet his supporters.
A blonde head with a perfect blow-dry approaches the balustrade: Bernadette Chirac. She would like to savour this victory, for which she has given so much. But her enthusiasm was short-lived, and she soon found herself fading into the President's shadow.
